Newton's 3 Laws

Step 1:  Watch the video to the right and on page 77 in your notebook, list Newton's 3 Laws.
Step 2:  Watch the video below about the record breaking skydive in 2012.
Record Breaking Skydive 2012
Step 3:  If Newon's 2nd Law states that Force = Mass x Acceleration, define mass and define acceleration.  How can we minimize force?

You will work with 1 or 2 other people to construct a parachute that minimizes the force at which an egg will hit the ground from 30 feet up.  You will get the chance to use 3 prototypes.  The egg drop content will be held on Thursday, May 28th.  Slowest decent time wins!  The egg cannot break or be cracked.  No modifications to the egg are allowed, they must be raw.
Step 4:  Follow the directions for the parachute activity to the right  to complete your first parachute and create data table for your timed trials.  This will be turned in for one of your last grades.
