More than likely the beginning of the book introduces a timeline from when the scientist was born and lived and possibly died. In a paragraph or two, describe this time and what it was like for the individual to grow up. For example, born in 1537 in England to extreme pottery, parents died during adolescence and was sent to a boarding school in France.

Leonardo da Vanci was born in 1492. He was born in the small town of Tuscany, Italy. Vanci was born with unwed parents, this made other kids not like him. Vanci was born an outsider. It was hard for him to grow up because he didnt really have parents. His childhood was lonely. As he grew older he became well known for everything under the sun. He was an artist, scientist, even a zoologist. You name it he did it. Unfortunity, Leonardo died on May 2, 1519.

Cleveland, Ohio, March 25, 1928 was when James A. Lovell was born. Growing up, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the time they moved, he first started setting his eyes on the stars, in his high school years. At the age of sixteen, in 1944, Lovell and his friends worked hard, and assisted by his teacher, on a rocket. This would soon start him on his future of becoming an astronaut. 9/23/2013 09:07:21 am

In Marie Curie's childhood, she was very intelligent. She was one of 5 children. She was born in Poland 1867 and died in 1934.

Mark Zuckerberg was born in Dobbs Ferry, New York, on May 14, 1984. Mark grew up in a household that supported and encouraged him and his sisters. His father remembered that mark was strong-willed and relentless. Very early on, Mark had a knack for computer programming. By the time he was in middle school he was already using computers and writing software for them.
